I go to Church a lot. I'm an Episcopalian (formerly a catholicish Methodist, turned MCCer) . I'm also an aspiring Priest and Anthropologist( of the socio-cultural variety). Also, I'm a gay with a wonderful Boyfriend. This blog will likely be a combination of churchy things, anthropology, and things I find amusing. Please forgive my grammar and style, because most of my writing on here is stream of consciousness. I don't argue.

Today, In the Episcopal Church we celebrate Priest, ecumenist, scholar, and statesman William Reed Huntington. This great holy man has to his credit, among other things, the Chicago-Lambeth Quadrilateral, the 1892 Prayer Book revisions, and the revival of the order of deaconesses. A leader of his caliber is what the Episcopal Church needs today.
O Lord our God, we thank you for instilling in the heart of your servant William Reed Huntington a fervent love for your Church and its mission in the world; and we pray that, with unflagging faith in your promises, we may make known to all people your blessed gift of eternal life; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
